CHAPTER 5 — शक्ति-कार्य-सिद्धान्तः | The Principle of Energy Work

astitvasya brahmāṇḍīya-jaṭilatāyāṃ sarvam eva śakti-mayam — eṣaḥ mūlabhūta-satya-udghoṣaḥ mahāmārgīya-sādhanāyāḥ avagamasya ca ādhāraśilā bhavati।॥1॥

In the cosmic complexity of existence, all is composed of energy — this declaration of fundamental truth is the cornerstone of Wayist practice and understanding.

mahāmārgiṇaḥ kṛte śakti-bodhaḥ śakti-kāryañca na ādhyātmika-sādhanāyāḥ pariśiṣṭāḥ, apitu tasyaiva sāram। ādhyātmika-vikāsa-cikitsā-sevāsu asmākaṃ samagra-upāgamasya ādhārabhūtatvāt etasya siddhāntasya mahattvaṃ aparimeyam।॥2॥

For the Wayist, energy awareness and energy work are not adjuncts to spiritual practice but its very essence. Because this principle underlies our entire approach to spiritual development, healing, and service, its importance cannot be measured.

asmākaṃ sattvasya bahuvida-prakṛtim vicārayatu। vayaṃ daśa-manāṃsi dhārayāmaḥ — trīṇi jīva-manāṃsi, catvāri ātma-manāṃsi, trīṇi ca jaiva-śarīra-manāṃsi — pratyekaṃ jaṭila-śakti-kendram vibhinna-taraṅgadairghyeṣu kāryaratam।॥3॥

Consider the multifaceted nature of our being. We possess ten minds — three soul-minds, four spirit-minds, and three organic-body-minds — each a complex energy center operating at different wavelengths.

asmākaṃ sūkṣma-śarīrāṇi — jīva-śarīram ātma-śarīrañca — śuddha-śakti-nirmāṇāni santi। api ca asmākaṃ jaiva-śarīram, yad bahiḥ sthūla-pādārthikam iva bhāsate, tasya mūle śakti-prakāśanam eva।॥4॥

Our ethereal bodies — the soul-body and the spirit-body — are pure energy constructs. And even our organic body, which outwardly appears solid and material, is at its core a manifestation of energy.

asyāṃ yathārthastāyāṃ sthite, mahāmārgiṇe gambhīra-śakti-bodhaṃ vikāsayituṃ śakti-kārya-kauśaleṣu prāvīṇyaṃ prāptumca na kevalaṃ hitakāri — sarvathā anivāryam।॥5॥

Given this reality, for the Wayist to develop profound energy awareness and to attain mastery in the skills of energy work is not merely beneficial — it is absolutely essential.

eṣaḥ śakti-viṣayaka-āgrahaḥ na amūrta-saṃkalpanā — vyāvahārika-āvaśyatā। asmākaṃ vicārāḥ, bhāvanāḥ, svayam asmākaṃ jīva-ātma-bodhaśca — sarve śakti-abhivyaktayaḥ। ataḥ titlī-mārge svayam avagantum, cikitsitum, vikasitum, svakīyaṃ prayojanaṃ pūrayitumca śakti-prabandhe śakti-cikitsāyāñca dakṣatā pratyeka-mahāmārgiṇaḥ mūla-yogyatā।॥6॥

This emphasis on energy is not an abstract concept — it is a practical necessity. Our thoughts, our emotions, and our very soul-spirit awareness — all are expressions of energy. Therefore, proficiency in energy management and energy healing is a core competency for every Wayist: to understand oneself, to heal, to develop, and to fulfil one’s purpose on the Butterfly Path.

śakti-kāryasya mahattvaṃ asmākaṃ vartamāna-janmanaḥ pare vistṛtam। ādhyātmika-yātrāyāṃ pragacchantaḥ, vayam ātma-śakti-sattva-rūpeṇa ātma-śakti-kṣetre bhāvi-astitvāya taiyārī kurmaḥ। tasmin bhāvi-kāle asmākaṃ dāyitvaṃ jīva-sattvebhyaḥ asmākaṃ ākāśagaṅgāyāṃ sarvatra paricaryā-kāryam kresṭoṭes-sevā ca karaṇam। idānīṃ yaṃ śakti-bodhaṃ yāni ca kauśalāni vayaṃ vikāsayāmaḥ teṣām ādhāre asmākaṃ śāśvata-vṛttiḥ nirmīyate।॥7॥

The significance of energy work extends beyond our present incarnation. As we progress on the spiritual journey, we are preparing for future existence as spirit-energy beings in the spirit-energy domain. In that future time our responsibility will be caregiving and chrestotes-service for soul-beings throughout our galaxy. The energy awareness and skills we develop now are the foundation on which our eternal vocation is being built.

mahāmārge śakti-kāryasya kendrīyatā prācīnā। yadā pūjya-prabhu-yeśuḥ mahāmārgasya śikṣāḥ lagabhaga dvi-sahasra-varṣebhyaḥ pūrvaṃ punaḥ-sthāpitavān, śakti-cikitsā tasya sevāyāḥ agra-bhāge āsīt। tena śatāni śakti-cikitsākāḥ praśikṣitāḥ vividheṣu pradeśeṣu śakti-karmiṇaḥ-rūpeṇa ca preṣitāḥ।॥8॥

The centrality of energy work in theWAY is ancient. When revered Lord Yeśu re-established the teachings of theWAY approximately two thousand years ago, energy healing was at the forefront of his ministry. He trained hundreds of energy healers and dispatched them as energy workers to various regions.

kristīya-āgamāḥ, ye mahāmārga-śikṣāṇām anekāḥ gṛhītavantaḥ, prabhu-yeśoḥ śakti-kārya-cikitsā-mali-jīva-visarjaneṣu balam spaṣṭaṃ darśayanti। yadi prabhu-yeśoḥ sevāyāḥ sāraṃ saṃkṣepeṇa kathanīyam — “mahāmārgasya śikṣāḥ punaḥ-sthāpayitum, śakti-karmiṇaḥ praśikṣayitum, cikitsayā mali-jīva-visarjanena ca etāni kauśalāni pradarśayitum।"॥9॥

The Christian scriptures, which appropriated many teachings of theWAY, clearly show Lord Yeśu’s emphasis on energy work, healing, and the expulsion of mali-psyches. If the essence of Lord Yeśu’s ministry were to be stated briefly — “to re-establish the teachings of theWAY, to train energy workers, and to demonstrate these skills through healing and the expulsion of mali-psyches.”

mahāmārgasya śakti-kārya-upāgamaḥ vyāpakaḥ sapta-vidha-aṅgayuktaśca। prathamam — śakti-bodhaḥ: antaḥ bahiśca śakteḥ tīkṣṇa-saṃvedanaśīlatām vikāsayitum, sarva-jīvana-pakṣeṣu śaktīnāṃ sūkṣma-paraspara-kriyām pratyabhijñātum।॥10॥

The Wayist approach to energy work is comprehensive, with seven aspects. First — energy awareness: to develop a keen sensitivity to energy within and around us, to recognise the subtle interplay of energies in all aspects of life.

dvitīyam — śakti-pālanam: daśa-manāṃsi vividha-śakti-śarīrāṇi ca antarbhūtya svakīya-śakti-tantrāṇāṃ śodhana-saṃtulana-sudṛḍhīkaraṇārthaṃ niyamita-abhyāsāḥ।॥11॥

Second — energy maintenance: regular practices for cleansing, balancing, and strengthening one’s own energy systems, encompassing all ten minds and the various energy bodies.

tṛtīyam — śakti-cikitsā: svayam anyebhyaśca cikitsā-śaktīn sañcālayitum asaṃtulānāni dūrīkṛtya samagratām saṃvardhayitumca tantrāṇāṃ śikṣaṇam।॥12॥

Third — energy healing: learning techniques to channel healing energies to oneself and others, removing imbalances and cultivating wholeness.

caturtham — śakti-rakṣaṇam: mali-jīva-prabhāvam antarbhūtya hānikara-śaktibhyaḥ svayam anyāṃśca āvṛtya rakṣituṃ kauśalānāṃ vikāsaḥ।॥13॥

Fourth — energy protection: developing skills to shield oneself and others from harmful energies, encompassing the influence of mali-psyches.

pañcamam — śakti-prasāraṇam: anyebhyaḥ sthānebhyaḥ paristhitibhyaśca hitakara-śaktīn sampresayitum sāmarasya-ādhyātmika-vikāsau ca saṃvardhayituṃ kṣamatāyāḥ abhivardhananam।॥14॥

Fifth — energy transmission: cultivating the capacity to transmit beneficial energies to others, spaces, and situations, promoting harmony and spiritual development.

ṣaṣṭham — śakti-vivecanam: hitakara-hānikara-prabhāvān pratyabhijñāya vibhinna-śakti-prakārān vivecanayituṃ svakīyasya sāmarthyasya pariśīlanam।॥15॥

Sixth — energy discernment: honing one’s capacity to distinguish between different types of energies, recognising both beneficial and detrimental influences.

saptamam — śakti-rūpāntaraṇam: nyūnatara-śaktīḥ uccatara-parimārjita-ādhyātmika-śaktiṣu pariṇamayituṃ śikṣaṇam।॥16॥

Seventh — energy transformation: learning to transmute lower energies into higher, more refined spiritual energies.

śakti-kārye pragacchantaḥ vayaṃ jagat nūtana-prakāśe draṣṭum ārabhāmahe। sarveṣu vastuṣu — anne, sthāneṣu, prakṛtau, anyeṣu sattveṣu — śakti-cihṇāni pratyabhijānīmaḥ। śakti-pāristhitikī yāsmākaṃ paritaḥ asti tasyām asmākaṃ sthānam — astitvasya vistṛta-śakti-jāle — avagacchāmaḥ।॥17॥

As we progress in energy work, we begin to see the world in a new light. In all things — in food, in spaces, in nature, in other beings — we recognise energy signatures. We come to understand our place within the energy ecology that surrounds us — within the vast energetic web of existence.

unnata-bodhena saha mahat-dāyitvam āgacchati। śakti-kārye dakṣataraiḥ bhavadbhiḥ, prajñā-karuṇe ca tasya prayoge abhivardhyanīye। anyeṣām śakti-sīmānāṃ mānyatā, uccatama-hitāya kauśalānāṃ prayogaḥ, mahāmārgasya pravāheṇa svakīyasya śakti-kāryasya ca anurūpīkaraṇam — etāni śikṣaṇīyāni।॥18॥

With heightened awareness comes great responsibility. As one becomes more skilled in energy work, wisdom and compassion in its application must also grow. One learns: respect for the energetic boundaries of others, use of skills for the highest good, and alignment of one’s energy work with the flow of theWAY.

śakti-kāryasya pāraṅgatā paryavasānaṃ na — nirantara-yātrā। ādhyātmika-vikāsena saha śakti-kāryasya kṣamatā vistṛtā bhavati, avagamana-sevāyoḥ nūtana-kṣitijān udghaṭayantī। śakti-bodha-kauśalayoḥ nirantara-vṛddhiḥ titlī-mārge asmākaṃ praghatyāḥ mūlabhūta-aṅgam।॥19॥

The mastery of energy work is not a final end — it is an ongoing journey. As spiritual development advances, the capacity for energy work expands, opening new horizons of understanding and service. Continuous growth in energy awareness and skill is a foundational element of our progression on the Butterfly Path.

ataḥ pratyekaḥ mahāmārgī śakti-kāryam parama-gāmbhīryeṇa samarpaṇena ca upāgacchet। sarva-vastu-pravāhinīṣu sūkṣma-śakti-dhārāsu prāvīṇyaṃ prāpya vayam ātmānam āyattīkurmaḥ — tadanantaraṃ mahāmārgasya mahad-abhikalpe uccatama-prayojana-pūrtaye gambhīra-pādakṣepaṃ gṛhṇīmaḥ।॥20॥

Let every Wayist therefore approach energy work with the utmost seriousness and dedication. In attaining mastery of the subtle currents of energy that flow through all things, we master ourselves — and in doing so take a profound step toward fulfilling our highest purpose in the grand design of theWAY.

Chapter 5 is the corpus’s direct declaration of the energetic ontology that Chapter 73 builds a whole chapter of practice around. Read together, they frame the Wayist position precisely: everything is energy (śakti-mayam), the practitioner is participant-in but not identical-to the energetic field (na pṛthak but never ekatva), and the seven aspects of energy work are the systematic development of the practitioner’s capacity to navigate that field with skill. The chapter’s temporal arc — from the soul-school’s energy curriculum in present incarnation, to Lord Yeśu’s re-establishment of the ancient teaching, to the future vocation of kresṭoṭes-sevā across the galaxy — situates energy work within the full Wayist cosmological frame: this is not a contemporary technique but an ancient and cosmic competency that the Butterfly Path is specifically designed to develop.

Colophon: This translation represents the collaborative restoration work of the Wayist collective Salvar Dàosenglu, based on the ancient mahāmārga teaching tradition, rendered into contemporary English and restored to classical Sanskrit for posterity.
