The Wayist’s spiritual practice is not confined to temples or prescribed rituals, but permeates every aspect of daily life. It is the art of living with spiritual awareness and intention to live deeply.
तस्य केन्द्रे महामार्गीय-अभ्यासो पवित्र-इन्द्रिय-सुख-संवर्धनम् - सर्व-अनुभवेषु दिव्य-उपस्थितेः गभीर-प्रशंसा॥२॥

In eating, sense the energies, be grateful for the sharing of living beings in the energy ecology of which you now benefit. Savor each morsel as a blessing. In breathing, feel the life force flowing through you. In walking, sense your connection to the air and ground beneath.

Mingle and associate with neighbors with compassion and humility, recognizing the spiritual potential in all beings. Let your actions be a blessing to the world. All living beings around you are your neighbors.

- आध्यात्मिक-सम्भावनाम् अवगच्छन् (ādhyātmika-sambhāvanāṃ avagacchan) - “recognizing the spiritual potential” - replaces divya-sphuliṅgam avagacchan (recognizing the divine spark). The teaching that the practitioner should see “the divine spark in all beings” carries Gnostic freight — it implies each being possesses a fragment of divinity awaiting reunion with its source. The Wayist teaching is different: all beings carry ādhyātmika-sambhāvanā (spiritual potential), a developmental seed, not a separated divine fragment. Seeing this potential in one’s neighbors is the ground of kresṭoṭes — practical loving-kindness toward beings who are students, like oneself, in the school of theWAY.
- त्व-कर्माणि जगतो वरदानम् (tva-karmāṇi jagato varadānam) - “let your actions be a blessing to the world”
- सर्वे जीवित-सत्त्वाः त्व-पड़ोसिनः (sarve jīvita-sattvāḥ tva-paḍosinaḥ) - “all living beings are your neighbors”
Growth and Transformation:
- द्वेष-कोपौ ऊर्जा-बन्धनानि सृजन्ति (dveṣa-kopau ūrjā-bandhanāni sṛjanti) - “grudges and resentments create energy bonds”
- रूपान्तरण-यात्रा (rūpāntaraṇa-yātrā) - “journey of transformation”
- वृद्धि-अवसरम् (vṛddhi-avasaram) - “opportunity for growth”
Compound Formations:
- सत्यता-करुणाभ्याम् परीक्षा (satyatā-karuṇābhyāṃ parīkṣā) - “examination with honesty and compassion”
- प्राकृतिक-जगत्-प्राज्ञा-सौन्दर्य (prākṛtika-jagat-prājñā-saundarya) - “natural world’s wisdom and beauty”
- आव्हान-युक्तम् वृद्धि-अवसर (āvhāna-yuktam vṛddhi-avasara) - “challenging opportunity for growth”
This Sanskrit rendering beautifully captures the Wayist integration of spiritual practice into every aspect of daily life, emphasizing sacred sensuousness and the transformation of ordinary experience into divine communion.
Colophon: This translation represents the collaborative restoration work of the Wayist collective Salvar Dāosenglu, based on the ancient mahāmārga teaching tradition of integrated spiritual living, rendered into contemporary English and restored to classical Sanskrit for posterity.
